Join us for a walk during Godalming’s Staycation, Broadwater Park, Wednesday 11th August, 2 – 4pm
Staycation is back! Godalming Town Council is hosting Staycation again and we are delighted to have been invited back to host an event.
Join Roots for the Future for a guided and mindful walk around Broadwater park, identifying trees and discussing their importance. Trees have an amazing role in our wellbeing, as well as in the health of our planet.
Living in Surrey we are lucky to be residents of the most heavily wooded county in England. So we may not notice our trees and appreciate them enough. Join us on our fact-packed walk to change that.
This walk will have elements of Forest Bathing which put simply, is a mindful walk amongst trees, deliberately taking in your surroundings and connect with the nature around you. Read more about Forest Bathing here.
This is an intergenerational event, from toddler to elder. All ages are welcome. We will go at the pace that the entire group can manage. This event will go ahead rain or shine, so please wear appropriate clothing.
Meet on the grassy bit between the tennis courts and the lake, Broadwater Park, Wednesday 11th August at 2pm. Please RSVP so we can be sure we have a manageable group.
