to plant some trees?

On Wednesday it took four.

We are delighted that Chantries & Pewleys have chosen Roots for the Future for a corporate responsibility partnership.

A chilly Wednesday in late November brought out four enthusiastic members of their team to help Roots for the Future with some site maintenance and new planting.

Sophie, Fiona, Mike and Anthony braved blisters and soggy knees to help us pull back grass (which competes with the saplings for nutrients in the soil) and plant some new trees.

They also helped with some new tree protection that will keep the little trees safe from balls and predators.

The company believe it’s important to do their bit towards helping the environment locally, with a view to offsetting some of their impact on it. It was a joyful afternoon and we look forward to working on new and exciting projects together.
